Offline Effect
No carryover onto neighboring rows
Dust cake carryover from adjacent bag rows is prevented because neighboring rows stay offline while one row is being cleaned — protecting freshly cleaned bags from re-caking.
FS Baghouse dust collectors · industrial gas cleaning
The Nederman MikroPul FS flat bag dust collector combines horizontally installed flat bags with intelligent reverse air cleaning technology — particularly suited to very fine dusts, metal vapors and harmful gases, high dust loads and high temperatures.

Common things to know
Answers to common questions about the FS flat bag filter

How it works
Air flows through the filter from top to bottom. Dirty gas enters through the inlet hood, where baffle plates slow solid particles and distribute the dust load evenly along the full filter length.
Gas enters through the dirty gas hood. Baffle plates reduce particle speed and ensure even distribution of the dust load across the filter.
Gas flows down through horizontally arranged filter bags to the clean gas side, where dust is held back by the filter media and forms a filter cake.
A cleaning carriage moves from row to row. Above the cleaning air radial fan, a valve pulses air through a telescopic pipe, inflating each bag and reversing the flow to release the dust cake — without compressed air.
Dust is discharged from the hopper and screw conveyor by a rotary valve. Conveying systems or big-bags can be connected below the rotary valve.

The FS series dust collector with horizontally installed flat bag filters is a compact and efficient filter system with intelligent air cleaning technology. This system is ideal for high dust loads of finer dust particles and high gas temperatures. It is easy to install and transport to site, typically in a single container-sized flatbed delivery.
For industrial plant operators such as foundries, smelters, asphalt production and many others, the FS flat bag dust collector provides pollution control in a compact and easy-to-install package.
Anatomy of the system
Every FS filter arrives with the housing and cleaning system pre-assembled — transport- and assembly-friendly from the day it leaves the factory.

Applications
FS filters offer high separation efficiency and withstand gas temperatures up to 250°C. Because bag cleaning is PLC-controlled, the ideal filter setting can be programmed for your specific application.
Melting and casting furnaces, magnesium treatment, molding lines, casting and cooling lines, shot blasting, casting finishing, sand preparation.
Electric arc furnace, secondary dedusting, flame cutting stations and flame cutting equipment.
Aluminum melting furnaces, AlO2 transport and silos, anode fabrication, copper, copper alloys, magnesium, lead and zinc melting furnaces.
Dry drum, parallel drum, mixers, screens, silos, loading station.
Galvanizing baths with edge extraction or enclosure.
Glass tanks, doghouses, glass fiber production, mineral and glass wool.

The FS filter uses reverse air cleaning. A cleaning carriage moves along the filter row by row, and a radial fan pulses low-pressure air backwards through each bag via a telescopic pipe, gently inflating it to release the dust cake — no compressed air needed at any stage.
The FS flat bag filter can withstand gas temperatures up to 250°C and is particularly suited to very fine dusts, metal vapors and harmful gases, as well as high dust loads.
The FS flat bag filter's high air-to-cloth ratio and horizontal bag arrangement can save up to 40% of the installation footprint compared to a typical pulse-jet baghouse.
Yes. The FS filter supports IoT connectivity for remote monitoring via smartphone or tablet, performance optimisation, and real-time notification of issues, using sensors on both the raw and clean gas sides.
FS filters are installed across foundries, steel mills, nonferrous metals processing, asphalt production, galvanizing plants and glass manufacturing, among other industrial sectors.
The filter housing and cleaning system arrive completely pre-assembled, typically as a single container-sized flatbed delivery, which simplifies transport and speeds up on-site installation.
